A faulty refrigerator with a slow water leak caused mold growth on the wall behind our refrigerator and the laminate floor under it. In searching for a mold remediation company, we called Complete Restoration, and the owner, Mike Cummings, responded immediately and came to our house.

Mike called his son, Mason, who removed the moldy sheetrock, baseboard, and laminate floor under the refrigerator, and then set up equipment to monitor and prevent mold spread.

I filed a claim with our homeowners insurance and Mike met with my wife and I and the adjustor. The insurance company agreed to pay for the mold remediation as well as demolition and replacement of the laminate kitchen floor. We also contracted with Complete Restoration to tear out carpeting in several other rooms and replace it with laminate flooring matching the new kitchen floor.

Complete Restoration demolished the flooring in less than four hours and installation of the new flooring took about four days. The project was challenging because there were numerous doorways and closets involved, as well as a stone fireplace requiring complex profiling of the laminate to achieve a great fit. Large appliances and heavy furniture were also moved as necessary, all of which Complete Restoration completed carefully and without damage.

All of the work was completed under one contract, which saved us the hassle of finding separate contractors for remediation, demolition, and installation, and then coordinating all of their efforts. Complete Restorations is a “one-stop shop” and we appreciate that. Throughout the project, Mike was great to keep us informed, answer all of our questions, and make any minor corrections that were required. In addition, Mike’s in-depth knowledge of insurance company policies and procedures made the whole project run smoothly. The craft personnel were skillful, friendly, and very cooperative. Mike’s stated goal is “happy customers”, and he runs the business in pursuit of that goal.

The project is complete and my wife and I love our new floors. Based on our favorable experience, we would highly recommend Complete Restoration.
